2015 CONFERENCE ASSEMBLY
NFCA Announces Dates & Location of 2015 Assembly, June 6th, 2015 – Pittsburgh, PA

The National Federation of Croatian Americans is pleased to announce that it will hold its 22nd National Assembly at the Headquarters of the Croatian Fraternal Union in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on June 6th, 2015. The CFU is located at 100 Delaney Drive, Monroeville, PA 15235.

The Croatian Fraternal Union (Croatian: Hrvatska bratska zajednica) (CFU), the oldest and largest Croatian organization in North America, is a fraternal benefit society of the Croatian diaspora based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. From a membership of less than 300 in 1894 to an organization with approximately 60,000 members worldwide, our assets in 120 years have grown from $43 to remarkably approaching $400 million. The history of the Croatian Fraternal Union actually coincides with the history of the Croatian people in North America.

From the beginning, when an itinerant young newspaperman came to Pittsburgh from Chicago in the late fall of 1893, Zdravko V. Mužina attracted more than 300 people to a meeting on Jan. 14, 1894, to organize a mutual benefit society for all Croatians.

This support has allowed the NFCA to both flourish and be relvent in our efforts to advocate for Croatian American interests.” Said Paul Tonsetic-Kunder, President of the National Federation of Croatian Americans.

As with other assemblies and conferences, two days of programing are being planned including distinguished guest speakers. The assembly will begin with a wine tasting fundraiser on Friday, June 5th, 2015. Proceeds from this event will benefit both the 2015 Croatian Special Olympic Team as they participate in the Los Angeles, CA games and the NFCACF.

The NFCA is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization dedicated to promoting the interest of the Croatian people; embodying heritage of culture and language, integrity in human rights and equality in self-determination, advancing economic development, and freedom from persecution.
